Justin Timberlake Shares Important Takeaway His Son Learned & More

Justin Timberlake’s son Silas has learned an important life lesson at just 4 years old. The Trolls World Tour star “Zoomed” with Ryan Seacrest on-air on Friday, April 10, and shared the latest installment in the animated DreamWorks franchise features all different kinds of trolls, teaching kids not everyone is the same.

“I was really exited when we got that call as well,” Justin shared, revealing the movie will be available to stream from home this weekend. “This is a family movie and what better time to have things that are familial.”

Justin voices the character Branch but is also behind the music on the film’s soundtrack, which he executive produced.

“It is a great message and it was a lot of fun to introduce all these different genres of music to young people, but also to kind of delve in a little deeper and show young people that there’s so many different types of people in the world and that should be embraced,” Justin added, revealing what his own son has started to learn.

“I see it in my son too when he sees someone who is different from him,” Justin continued. “Naturally it’s more a reflection of their own fear to say like ‘I must be different’ and that makes them afraid so to be able to say like ‘No, you’re different and that’s cool!' … It’s not a bad message to remind us as adults too.”

Justin shared the quarantine time has been challenging as most parents can relate, having to home school their kids.

“There's been a lot of Lego building — a lot of Lego building,” he shared of how he, Silas and wife Jessica Biel are doing. “I saw some great meme or something it was like ‘I’m a mother; I’m a warrior’ it was all these lists of things that moms do but ‘I am not a home school teacher!’” he jokingly added. “And to be honest, it really, really — again —I know every once in a while we’re reminded how important school teachers are. ... I don’t know how they do it.”
