Here's today's feel-good story:

A newly opened dog shelter in Alabama is the largest no-kill rescue shelter in the U.S.

It was renovated from an old greyhound training center into a facility that will save and rehabilitate about 5,000 dogs per year.

“The opening of a second Big Dog Ranch Rescue location is something I’ve prayed for over the years,” Big Dog Ranch Rescue Founder and CEO Lauree Simmons said. “It’s a great day for us and, more importantly, it’s a great day for the dogs.”
