Domino's Pizza Tells Us How To Recycle Pizza Boxes

Here's today's feel-good story:

Domino's Pizza is now delivering its pizza in boxes that have specific recycling instructions printed on them.

Billions of pizza boxes over the years have gone unrecycled because both recycling companies and consumers believe that grease, sauce, and cheese might break the machinery used to recycle.

Domino's ran some tests and found no difference in machine function when the boxes were recycled.

“Arming our consumers with this knowledge and encouraging them to be part of our stewardship journey also makes them feel good about enjoying their pizza,” Fredric Lund, SVP of global development and sustainability at Domino’s said.
