With the record-breaking winter storm hitting Texas, plunging cities into freezing temperatures, and knocking out power and water for many of its citizens, morale is certainly being tested.

Stories are emerging from all across the state of acts of kindness from neighbors and friends, reaching out to help each other. From delivering hot cocoa and girl scout cookies, to offering a warm, dry place to stay for as long as it's needed, there is plenty of light that is being shed in the darkness.

It's not easy to be positive under the circumstances, but it is made a bit easier thanks to loving neighbors and kindness.
