Here's Today's Feel-Good Story:
If you've ever experienced a connection or synchronization when you gaze into the big eyes of a dog, a new study shows that neural activity syncs up between humans and dogs. Researchers measured brain activity in humans and dogs with 10 young dogs matched up with unknown humans.
"We observed that inter-brain correlations in frontal and parietal regions dramatically increased… during mutual gaze," said the study, led by biologist Wei Ren from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
