Life's too short not to splurge on an expensive meal every now and again, whether for a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary or simply to just treat yourself to an extravagant meal with exceptional service.

Using user reviews, awards and accolades, and first-hand experience, LoveFood compiled a list of the the "most expensive" place to dine in every state, the eateries that are "genuinely worth a blowout" price tag for the service, atmosphere and food you get in exchange.

According to the site, the most expensive restaurant in all of Ohio is Marble Room Steaks & Raw Bar, which has steak selections clocking in at nearly $150 and caviar for almost $200. Marble Room is located at 623 Euclid Avenue.

Here's what LoveFood had to say about this pricey establishment:

"The grandeur of the setting makes dinner at Marble Room worth the hefty check. Tables are arranged around marble columns and beneath the original pressed ceiling of a 19th century former bank building. The food is suitably fine too, with a range of seafood dishes, steaks and raw bar treats including caviar, an ounce of which will set you back $199. Of the main course, the Miyazaky Wagyu Strip Loin, is the most expensive at $144 for the minimum 4oz serving."
