Nicki Minaj Apologizes After Video Shows Husband Pushing Trinidadian Singer

Nicki Minaj has a few things to teach her husband, Kenneth Petty, about Trinidad's Carnival.

As fans know, the "YIKES" rapper returned to her home of Trinidad and Tobago to celebrate Carnival earlier this week and brought her new hubby along to enjoy the festivities.

However, while the couple wore aboard a float, a fan captured a tense moment between Kenneth and Trinidadian artist Iwer George. In the video, Nicki is shown standing beside her husband as Iwer performs near them. The video takes a turn when the Trinidadian performer reaches over to Nicki, seemingly to get her involved, and Kenneth pushes his arm away.

The incident sparked major backlash online with fans calling for Nicki to address what happened. One fan wrote on Instagram, "come again ....tell petty loosen up a bit."

Surprisingly, Nicki responded to the fan's comment, saying she didn't properly prepare Kenneth for what to expect at Carnival. "Oh gawd. Allyuh like sh*t eh? I go cuz all yuh real fkn stink yuh know?" she wrote. "He don't understand anything about our culture. I apologize on his behalf. He's always in security mode. All love. Love my country to death. Love my ppl to death. Period ... I should've told him it's a very comfortable family atmosphere. He's never been to a carnival in his life. Not even in Brooklyn babe."

Nicki later shared a video of her and Kenneth aboard the float, which she captioned, "Rappers would kill for this attention chile. Lol at night when we go to bed I say 'babe u was all over the blogs today'. He be like 'oh word?' 😂🤣 he rlly don’t have social media to see y’all write think pieces about him chile. ‼️♥️♥️♥️ AND AH LIKE IT LIKE IT LIKE THISSSSSSS. JUS LIKE THIS ‼️‼️‼️‼️"
