Ozzy Osbourne Teases New Single Arriving Friday

Ozzy Osbourne is getting ready to drop some new music.

The singer's social accounts suggested in a Thursday morning post that a new song would arrive "Tomorrow."

A teaser clip shows an image of a ghostly hand wearing a golden cross. An eerie acoustic guitar line that evokes Ozzy's "Diary of a Madman" can be heard as the camera closes in on the image. Some distant, very Ozzy-sounding chanting fades in and the image goes silent and turns to black with the word "Tomorrow" appearing in red.

An Instagram post on Ozzy's official account also used the tags #newmusic, #tomorrow and #ozzy. A link in Ozzy's bio also gives fans the option of pre-saving the new song on streaming services.

The new song will be Ozzy's first new solo release in almost 10 years (his last solo album, Scream, was released in 2010). The last full-length album he put out was Black Sabbath's swan song, 13, released in 2013.

The new release arrives a few weeks before Ozzy drops his legacy vinyl box set See You On The Other Side on November 29.

Ozzy revealed this summer that he experienced a rush of musical ideas after collaborating with Post Malone. He apparently got more serious about doing a new album while rehabbing from a debilitating neck injury this spring. In September he announced that his new album was complete.

More recently, the Prince of Darkness's wife and manager Sharon Osbourne revealed that the new LP will likely arrive in January.

While he continues recovering from neck surgery, Ozzy pushed back the restart date of his 'No More Tours 2' farewell to the spring of 2020.

Before the tour was put on hold last fall, 'No More Tours 2' had been a celebration of Ozzy's solo career, with a hit-packed setlist. It's unclear how the new album or band leader Zakk Wylde's lack of involvement in it will shape the singer's live set list.
